In accordance to ‘Teachers’ Day’ which was celebrated on 16th May 2009 nationwide, a group of five teachers from this school had organized a one-night-fishing-trip to Silam shore, about 3 miles nautical from the main land of Lahad Datu. A fishing boat was rented and the trip began at 4 pm, about 45 minute to the fishing area. The fishing are is known as “Takat Tenggiri” and popular to the local for its tenggiri, ikan merah, ketambak, pari (sting ray), kerapu (garoupa), talang, etc.
